How a clinic gets on this site

Tijuana has hundreds of dental clinics. Most are good. Some are not. The whole point of Puente is that you don’t have to figure out which is which from Google reviews.

What we check

  • COFEPRIS registration. Mexico’s health regulator. We ask for the clinic’s aviso de funcionamiento or licencia sanitaria, the named responsable sanitario, and the radiology license for X-ray equipment.
  • Every treating dentist’s cédula profesional — the national license number — checked against the SEP registry, with specialty cédulas for implantologists, endodontists, etc.
  • An in-person scout visit scoring facility, sterilization, equipment (CBCT, in-house milling), English capability, price transparency, and warranty terms.
  • Public reputation — Google and directory reviews, complaint patterns, and whether they honor quotes.
  • A signed partner agreement that commits the clinic to itemized written quotes, written warranties, a free adjustment window, no upselling in the chair, and giving you your records.

What the tiers mean

A · Top rated — everything above verified, scout-visited, strong reviews. B · Verified — licenses and credentials verified, scout visit pending or recent. C · Listed — licenses verified from documents; we have not visited yet. We show the score and what is checked on every clinic page.

What we don’t do

We don’t list clinics that won’t show licenses, that quote one price and bill another, or that push treatments you didn’t ask for. We don’t list unproven “alternative” cancer or stem-cell clinics. And we don’t provide medical care ourselves — your treating doctor is responsible for your care, and we are responsible for making sure you were matched with a good one and never left on your own.

If something goes wrong

Tell your liaison first. We get the clinic on the phone, document everything, and help you use the warranty. If it can’t be resolved, we help you file with CONAMED (Mexico’s medical arbitration commission) and, where appropriate, with COFEPRIS. We also help you find a U.S. provider for follow-up when that is the better path.

Honest caveats

Mexico is a different legal system; malpractice remedies are slower and smaller than in the U.S. Complex work takes more than one trip. Border waits vary. Our job is to make all of that predictable and handled — not to pretend it doesn’t exist.
